Animasaurus has one clear goal: To make you a better animator no matter where you currently are with your animation education. We explore learning animation from a fresh new perspective, building animation skills, knowledge, and professionalism.

Andrew is an educator, entrepreneur, creative director, and visionary. He currently serves as CEO at Long Winter Studios. Andrew fell in love with character animation in college and had a blast working in the industry spanning video games, full-CG feature films and VFX feature films at studios like Blue Sky, Disney Interactive, Rhythm and Hues. Among his favorite credits are the multiple shots and characters he animated in the Oscar award-winning film, "Life of Pi," as well as "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs." He also served as lead faculty of the animation program at the Art Institute (AI) of Salt Lake City. He received his BFA from the Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago.

Andrew founded Long Winter Studios as a means of supplying animators – especially students and those new to the industry – with film-quality character assets. His experience in the industry fuels Long Winter’s attention to detail and keeps the studio’s focus always on the animator.

The plans for Animasaurus developed while Andrew was leading the animation program at AI. The students worked hard, but in a traditional education environment, there is little capacity for teaching the detailed, high-end techniques required to even have a chance in the film/game industry. He envisioned a way of teaching that would allow animators of all skill levels to revisit complex character performance and acting concepts until they mastered them.

Welcome to Animasaurus. Thank you for joining us.
